Your upholstered furniture may be equipped with an optional manual seat size adjustment. There are two mechanisms that can be used for this:
- Increasing the seat size by pulling the seat surface out to the front
- Increasing the seat size by pushing the backrest to the back
1. Increasing the seat size by pulling the seat surface out to the front
With the manual increase in seat size, you can movethe seat forward by any amount up to roughly 20cm by shifting your body weight. To retract the seat, simply push it back to its starting position.
⇒ Please note: the manual seat size increase is only approved and functional up to a maximum load of 110kg per seat. The function is approved for two persons for seat widths of 100cm and above. The total maximum load is then 220kg.
2. Increasing the seat size by pushing the backrest to the back
You can move the manually adjustable backrest backwards by shifting your body weight or pressing the backrest with your elbows. The backrest can only be adjusted to one position further back. To move the backrest forwards again, pull it back towards the seat.
